Psychology
Our goal is to help your child grow into an adult who routinely and comfortably seeks dental care. This is one of the goals of a pediatric dentist. In fact, pediatric dentists have an additional 2-3 years of training specifically which focuses in part on child psychology. This often means spending extra time with your child, distraction through many of our child friendly amenities, and through experience knowing when it is appropriate to discuss sedation options. It is very important to discuss with one of our doctors any bad experiences or fears your child may have in order to provide the best possible care for your child.
Special Needs Dentistry
We welcome patients with special needs here, where we are specially equipped to handle their unique needs. Children with Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other learning and developmental challenges need extra attention to address their physical and emotional needs in the dentist's chair. We're honored to provide the high-quality care these wonderful children deserve. We also offer familiarization and desensitization visits for children to make them comfortable in our practice. Be sure to let us know if your child will benefit from treatment in one of our quiet rooms. We shower our patients with love and care. We do not use physical restraints.
